Arbor Day in Hawaii officially falls on the first Friday in November, which in 2014 is Friday, November 7. November marks the beginning of the rainy season in Hawaii, the perfect time to plant a tree.
Traditionally, most of the Arbor Day celebrations and tree giveaways across the state take place on the Saturday after Arbor Day, which this year is November 8, 2014. However, some organizations are celebrating Arbor Day on the first Saturday of the month, November 1.
