Kukui Grove
Kaua`i Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

The Kaua`i Arbor Day Tree Giveaway will take place on November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Kukui Grove in the parking lot behind K-Mart (at the Monday Farmer’s Market location, not in front of Macy’s).

There will be 1,700 free trees at this year’s giveaway. The focus is on native plants, and the giveaway will feature a variety of species, such as: a`ali`i, hala, koa, koki`o ke`oke`o (white hibiscus), milo, naio papa, and pua kenikeni.

There will be free compost available, over 100 cacao seedlings, and educational giveaways. This year, as an added bonus, there will be coupons from local area nurseries for valuable discounts on plants and trees.

Mahalo to Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program for making this free event possible. It is locally coordinated by Garden Island Resource Conservation & Development, Kaua`i Landscaping Industry Council, National Tropical Botanical Garden, Kukui Ula, Kaua`i Invasive Species Committee, The Kaua`i Outdoor Circle, and Kaua`i Nursery & Landscaping.
