Ewa Beach Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

The Hoakalei Cultural Foundation will conduct its 5th annual Arbor Day tree giveaway at the Keone`ula Elementary School in Ewa Beach, on Saturday, November 5.

To increase the educational component of the project, you are asked to pre-register for an hour-long mini-workshop in order to receive a free kit of three native Hawaiian plants. The kit will include a ground cover called ‘ilima papa (Sida fallax), a shrub called hinahina ‘Ewa (Achyranthes splendens var. rotundata), and a tree called naio (Myoporum sandwicense).
