Hoʻoulu Lāhui Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
Hoʻoulu Lāhui, in collaboration with Kua O Ka Lā Public Charter School, Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program, Hawai‘i Electric Light Company, Queen Liliʻuokalani Trust, and Makuʻu Farmers Association, is proud to present its 16th annual Arbor Day tree giveaway.
The students of Kua O Ka Lā PCS are propagating the trees and will be giving away: kukui, kokiʻo keʻokeʻo, niu, milo, kou, and koʻokoʻolau.
Staff, students and families of Kua O Ka Lā PCS will distribute the trees, along with newsletters designed and created by Kua O Ka Lā PCS students, at two different days and sites. Demonstrations and products the students made will be featured.
Also get a free guide on planting a tree and siting it properly to avoid safety hazards and to provide cooling shade for your home.
